2 men are charged with 1st degree murder after shooting in Toronto

Toronto police say two men are charged with murder after a fatal shooting last week that killed one man and wounded another.

The men, both 41, are charged with each count of first-degree murder and attempted murder.

The charges relate to a shooting on October 21 that killed 37-year-old Nikie Timm and sent another man to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Timm is Toronto’s 67th homicide victim of the year.

Investigators say Timm was found in a parking lot at the north end with multiple gunshot wounds and later pronounced dead at the hospital.

They say the other man, who had attended a private event with Timm before the shooting, sought hospital treatment on his own.

Police are urging anyone with video evidence or possible information about the shooting to get in touch.
