4 new COVID cases reported by APH in the Sault area

Algoma Public Health reports four new COVID-19 cases in the Algoma region, all of which are in the Sault area.

The new cases bring the number of active cases in the region up to 46, and one person is currently hospitalized.

Cases 526 and 527, both tested Friday, were revealed through close contact with a known confirmed case.

Case 528, tested on Saturday, was infected from travel outside Canada.

Case 529, also tested on Saturday, was infected through close contact with a known confirmed case.

All four people are currently self-insulating.

Regions in Algoma that have reported COVID cases within the last 14 days include the Sault area as well as northern Algoma.
