Antipodes festival is back – Neos Kosmos

The team in the Greek community in Melbourne is in full swing planning behind the scenes in collaboration with both state and local authorities to ensure that the best festival is produced while keeping COVID-19 safe.

For years, the Antipodes – Lonsdale St Greek Festival has taken over the historic Lonsdale St Greek Precinct. Melbourne’s largest Greek cultural festival with over 90 stalls, three free entertainment scenes and traveling artists, children’s rides and activities as well as numerous bars and a range of mouth-watering Greek culinary delights, with events for the whole family to enjoy.

Even in 2020, more than 100,000 people came down Lonsdale Street to Australia’s largest Greek street party and celebration of all things Greek, offering over 40 hours of free live entertainment programmed across three stages, retail and attractions, including a host of delicious authentic food offerings.

The event was a great success and is still considered the largest celebration of all Greek outside Greece, attracting a good mix of intergenerational first-time and regular participants from all walks of life.

Get excited! The weekend of Saturday 5 March and Sunday 6 March 2022 will be an unforgettable weekend.
