Body & Soul kicks off festival season in style

5,000 festival goers wandered into a world of immersive music, art, wellbeing, sustainability and food, in the woods and walled gardens of Ballinlough Estate in Westmeath last weekend as the Body & Soul Festival returned to action after a two-year hiatus, with a reimagined event that did not disappoint – even the weather played ball! CMAT

Live music was back with a wallop, with Irish artists front and center: Roisin Murphy, CMAT and Pillow Queens delighted punters on the main Body & Soul stage, while elsewhere you could find the likes of AE Mak, Aby Coulibaly, Jafaris, and Mango X Mathman alongside art installations from MASER and Aoife Dunne, comedy from David O’Doherty and tarot readings from cult Canadian garage rocker King Khan!

Pagan Rave

And, while an impressive DJ line-up and the formidable Pagan Rave ensured that there was dancing until dawn, as ever with B&S the real highlights were often to be found in unexpected places – rave on, concertina player Cormac Begley!

All in, a thrilling start to the Irish festival season – support live events nationwide this summer.
