The Cleveland Cavaliers’ West Coast road trip continues with another game in a row in Los Angeles.
The Cavs’ first game in LA – a win over the Clippers driven by Cleveland’s defensive efforts – was an impressive win that made Cleveland 3-2 this year. Given that this trip – with games against the Nuggets, Clippers, Lakers and Suns – was expected to be a challenge, this has been a good race that gets the team going in the first direction early in the year.
In terms of injury, the Cavs will be without Isaac Okoro in another game in a row due to a strain in the hind thigh. What that means Cleveland’s rotation is unclear. Does that mean Lamar Stevens will be minutes into the second game in a row, largely at the expense of Cedi Osman? Or will JB Bickerstaff go in a completely different direction? Kevin Pangos is also out for the Cavs due to personal reasons. For the Lakers, LeBron James is listed as questionable among several other Lakers nurses with injuries.
All in all, this should be fun. And after that, there is only one Cavs game later in the evening in the foreseeable future. Hooray!
