Club W Cronulla offers fitness, wellness and coworking rooms St George & Sutherland Shire Leader

community, club with Cronulla, wellness, gym, wellness, pilates, Cronulla, coworking

Work out, beautify yourself and even host a work zoom meeting, all in the comfort of a new fitness center on Cronulla, which the owners call a ‘world novelty’. ‘Club W – Wellness’ is marketed as a ‘third room’ for the community to relax, recover and recharge, combining a Wellness Lounge, Wellness Collective and Wellness Coworking room. The center was conceived by Tony de Leede, the man who launched Fitness First Australia and then went on to open wellness lifestyle retreats Gwinganna Gold Coast and Komune Bali. Club W addresses the trend of ‘mind, body and soul’ wellness – it is about movement and connection with others as a means to a healthy mind and body. Club W members and casual session buyers can take a Pilates class there, sip a coconut water smoothie at SoulBowl Wellness Cafe or lie in a wellness pod, all designed to make you feel great and energetic when you arrive. Wellness Lounge offers movement studios with planned training and dance classes, and there are also quiet rooms where you can meet a friend and curate your own experience – right down to the scent you want in the room, the color of the LED lights and the music you play. Wellness Collective has an infrared sauna with meditation and LED light therapy, which is said to heal the skin and provide anti-aging benefits. In this area there is also the opportunity to relax in an O2 chair, which guides you through breathing exercises and meditation and a massage chair to help restore the muscles. Finally, the Wellness Coworking room combines permanent offices with hot desks and is equipped with wellness pods, a telephone and podcast room, a boardroom and a kitchenette – perfect for those who want to change their workplace. The Club W concept was tested as a pop-up first in Caringbah before opening in its full capacity at Cronulla.
