Here’s everything you need to know about Final Fantasy 14 Endwalker Early Access.

What is Final Fantasy 14 Endwalker Early Access?

Endwalker is the latest expansion to Square Enix’s MMORPG, Final Fantasy 14. It’s ready for release on Tuesday after a slight delay in November. Players who pre-ordered the expansion will be able to play the game before its official release from Friday. All the new content and the changes that come in the expansion will be available during the early access, allowing players to get started early in the game.

When does Final Fantasy 14 Endwalker Early Access start?

The start time was at 1 PT (16:00 ET) Friday. Players on Final Fantasy 14 subreddit saw long wait times on certain servers after the 10GB-20GB update. In some cases, the queue lasted for several hours and resulted in one Error 2002 message, which appears when servers are overloaded. Expect to see long queues Friday night where more players can jump into the game.

One problem players saw with Endwalker is the sound. Square Enix added a new Immerse Spatial Audio add-on to provide 360-degree sound. However, players noticed various sound issues from distorted sound to combat sound effects that did not work. Square Enix listed some of the other issues players have faced and when they will be resolved.

Early access ends on December 10, requiring players to use their Final Fantasy 14 Endwalker code to continue playing with the new content.

How do I get into Final Fantasy 14 Endwalker early?

Early access is only available to those who pre-ordered the game either on Steam, through the Square Enix website or through the Sony PSN Store. Steam users will find their early passwords under “CD Keys”, PS4 and PS5 owners will automatically have their accounts registered for early access, and those who pre-ordered via Square Enix will receive a code to use on Mog Station’s website. Square Enix provided more detailed steps to access those in need.

Endwalker costs $ 40 on Mac, PC, PS4 and PS5.

What’s new in Final Fantasy 14 Endwalker?

As the fourth expansion to Final Fantasy 14, Endwalker will be the culmination of the game’s history since its inception. Players will also have access to two more jobs: Reaper who summons spectral monsters to fight, and the sage who can heal as well as buff other players. The new breed of male Viera will also be available in the Endwalker. Previously, the large hare-eared Viera breed was limited to females only. There will also be new areas to explore, raids, weapons and more content in Endwalker. Players can also increase their grades to 90 now, up from level 80.
