The Flight Attendant season 2, episode 4 major spoilers follow.
The Flight Attendant co-showrunner Natalie Chaidez has opened up about a sex scene for Kaley Cuoco’s character Cassie Bowden in the show’s latest episode.
With season 2 now well underway, episode 4, ‘Blue Sincerely Reunion’, saw Cassie make a big choice by cheating on her boyfriend.
Chaidez – who co-wrote the episode – has opened up about the more explicit scene while speaking to Digital Spy and other press, confirming that it was devised with an intimacy co-ordinator.

“Yes, we do have an intimacy coordinator on set that speaks with both actors prior to the actual filming, and sort of gets their boundaries,” she explained. “They discuss the process.
“And so that person was there on set with Mo McRae and Kaley, who, I will say, had tremendous, tremendous chemistry.
“It was also a closed set. We were respectful,” Chaidez added. “There was some partial nudity and stuff, so it was very contained as far as who was there. It was extremely steamy.
“And when we were watching, me and the other producer were like, ‘Phew! OK.’ But it was all done with a lot of care, and as much respect as we can give the performers. “

It comes after Cuoco recently defended Cassie’s questionable decisions in season 2, noting her character’s ability to make audiences root for her.
“Just like season 1, she made horrible choices, but you click into wanting her to do the right thing,” she said.
“You do not hate her for it. She’s a lovable character. She has a big heart. She’s had a lot of trauma in her life. And she’s really trying to turn over a new leaf. And I think her friends and family do believe that – or most of them. “
The Flight Attendantseason 2 airs on HBO Max in the US. In the UK, it will premiere on Sky Max in May. The series is based on the book of the same name by Chris Bohjalian.
