Covid-19 rates have remained below 10 percent positivity for two days in a row, Governor Hochul said.
“We are below 10% positivity for the second day in a row. It is extraordinary progress,” she said on Saturday.
Of Friday’s 299,580 inoculations, 27,643 returned positive – a positivity of 9.2 percent.

The seven-day case rate also dropped in all regions of the state until the end of the week.
New York City’s positivity rate was also below 10%, clocking in at 9.60%, the governor said.
Friday’s nationwide death toll was 179, bringing the total number through this date to 51,716 according to the date.
