She’s best known for playing Leah Patterson on Channel Seven’s Home and Away for the past two decades.

And on Sunday, Ada Nicodemou revealed that despite attending the Logie Awards multiple times, she still gets excited.

‘I’m beyond excited. I love the Logies. I reckon I’ve attended between 20 and 30, ‘she told Daily Mail Australia.

When asked about her favorite moment, she said: ‘Ray Meagher winning Gold (in 2010), and also seeing Bert Newton on stage.’

‘Bert is the Logies, so it’s sad he is not here this year, but yeah I’ve always loved seeing him on stage.’

Bert, who died age 81 in October following a health battle, was a quadruple Gold Logie award-winning entertainer who hosted the show a staggering 19 times.

Patti presented the inaugural Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter to Hamish Blake for Channel Nine’s Lego Masters.

Bert’s daughter Lauren, who also attended Sunday’s Logies, gave her mother Patti a silver ‘Bert’ necklace to wear on the night, while she wore one of Bert’s cummerbunds over her dress.

Back in May, Patti gave a moving tribute to her late husband during a Mother’s Day concert.

She joined the Aussie Pops Orchestra event, held at Melbourne’s Hamer Hall, and sang a trio of songs devoted to Bert.

Photos of the late TV legend Bert were projected above the stage as Patti made her tender salute in song.

One of the numbers was a special tune simply called For Bert.

She also delivered a touching version of Unforgettable which, according to reports, did not leave a dry eye in the house.
