Naruto Fan Art captures the ninja’s entire life in one portrait

The artist Turned Ninja has created a portrait of Naruto Uzumaki who manages to depict the ninja’s entire journey from socially excluded to beloved Hokage.

The artist Turned Ninja has unveiled an amazing portrait of Naruto Uzumaki depicting important events from throughout the life of the famous ninja.

When viewed from a distance, the image simply appears to be a portrait of the adult Naruto as he appears at the end of Masashi Kishimoto’s manga and during its sequel, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. But a closer look reveals that the portrait actually consists of several smaller images depicting key events from Naruto’s life: the one sitting on a swing alone at the beginning of the series, the iconic image he took with Team 7 and Kakashi, lying on earth after his climactic battle with Sasuke, and finally his first appearance as Hokage of Konohagakure. It’s a touching and beautiful way to relive the young shinobis’ journey from hated social exclusion to loved hero.

Naruto was created by Masashi Kishimoto and was first published on the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999. The series quickly became one of the most popular manga in the world, and is now the fourth best-selling manga series of all time, with a worldwide circulation of over 250 million copies. The manga was generally considered one of Weekly Shonen Jumps “Big Three” franchises during the industry-wide boom period of the early 2000s along with Eiichiro Oda’s long-standing One piece and Tite Kubo’s Bleach. The series continues to be incredibly popular more than twenty years after its first release and has been adapted into several anime series and movies as well as dozens of video games. A novel that takes place after the end of the series, with the title Naruto: Kakashi’s Story – The Sixth Hokage and the Failed Prince, was recently confirmed for an English release.

Kishimoto took over as the sequel’s lead author from volume 14 onwards.

The complete Naruto the manga series is available in English from VIZ Media. Both the original Naruto anime customization and skipping over time Shippuden sequels are available for streaming on Netflix, Hulu, Crunchyroll and Funimation.
