Nintendo’s Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack overview trailer is now the most disliked video on Nintendo’s YouTube channel ever.

As discovered by our friends at VGC, with 104,000 votes (that was 103,000 when I started writing this) to only 17,000 likes, the Expansion Pack trailer took only fourteen days to darken the Metroid Prime: Federation Force trailer from E3 2015 , which only sports 11K likes to a striking 96K likes.

As Matt reported a few weeks back, Nintendo finally announced launch and pricing details for its Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service, which went live on October 26th. A 12-month subscription will cost £ 35 / $ 50 USD for an individual membership and £ 60 / $ 80 USD for the family option, which supports up to eight accounts.

That’s double the current price, and it seems that dissatisfied Nintendo fans are making their point via the YouTube channel.

This premium version of Nintendo’s current online service will provide access to all the features included in the basic level (multiplayer, NES and SNES games, plus cloud storage), along with exclusive access to a slow-growing collection of Mega Drive and N64 games – which will support suspension points and, for certain titles, online multiplayer. It will also include Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ recently announced Happy Home Paradise expansion at no extra cost.

ICYMI, Nintendo has closed offices in California, USA and Toronto, Canada.

“Nintendo of America’s headquarters are in Redmond, WA and Vancouver, BC,” Nintendo said in a press release. “We are moving more of our staff and operations into these headquarters and will eventually close small satellite offices in Toronto, ON and Redwood City, California.”
