NYC Toddlers Autumn Garrison killed after being run over by truck

A small child from Staten Island was killed when she was hit by a truck outside a grocery store on Friday afternoon.

Autumn Garrison, 2, was walking in front of a Ford Explorer leaving a Stop and Shop on Forest Avenue in Elm Park around 1:45 p.m., according to the NYPD.

The driver of the truck hit the little girl, “knocked her down on the sidewalk and drove over her,” police said in a press release.

Autumn, who lived in nearby Mariners Harbor, received emergency care on the spot before being taken to Richmond University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, officials said.

The 69-year-old woman who was behind the wheel remained at the scene and the investigation was underway, according to investigators.

A 69-year-old woman is said to be the driver of the truck in the fatal accident.
