Open book | Brimbank & North West

Brimbank writers and storytellers are encouraged to bring their pens to the Brimbank Writers and Readers Festival.

The annual event, which runs from March 17 to 26, encourages a love of reading and literature, celebrates creativity and diversity, and promotes lifelong learning.

The ten-day program with workshops, author talks, panel discussions, creative and professional writing, storytelling and more is presented at no cost to the community to participate in.

The council seeks to plan two local events, a panel discussion for three authors or new authors to showcase their published work, and an open event for individuals or community groups, which could include: a workshop, a spoken word performance, a public reading, a book launch or an exhibition.

Applications are open until November 14.
