Police are investigating another 24-hour shooting in Dartmouth

HALIFAX – For the second time in just 24 hours, Halifax Regional Police are investigating a shooting in Dartmouth’s Caledonia neighborhood.

Police were called to the area at Ruben Court and Roleika Drive around 7.30pm on Saturday for a report of gunfire.

Officers say the investigation is in its early stages, but there is no indication that anyone was injured during the shooting.

Police do not believe the incident is coincidental. Officers are currently in the area and treating the spot. Investigators are also working to determine if this shooting is related to another shooting in the same area last night.

On Friday, police responded to a report of shots fired in the 0-100 block on Roleika Drive around 6 p.m. 19.50

Witnesses reported that a suspect appeared to be shooting at people in another vehicle in a parking lot next to an apartment building.

The vehicle, which appeared to be targeted, left the parking lot and police say there is nothing to suggest anyone was injured. Another unmanned vehicle in the same parking lot was damaged by the bullets.

The suspect is Friday’s shooting episode is described as a man, about 5’5, with a thin building wearing. According to police, he was wearing dark clothing at the time. The suspect fled on foot after the incident and has not been located.
