Publitics, a top New Jersey public affairs and political consulting firm, is expanding to the nation’s capital.
Jennica Sims has joined the company as a director and will work for Publitics in Washington, Matt Krayton and Henry de Koninck, the firm’ principals, announced today.
“A ramped up Washington, D.C. presence, under Jennica’s watch, marks continued success for our team and will help us in our mission to continually bring our clients best-in-class strategic counsel,” Krayton said.
Sims had served as director of political engagement at DataRobot, an AI startup company.
She worked on Assemblyman Upendra Chivukula’s bid for the Democratic nomination for Congress in New Jersey’s 12th district in 2014 and as executive director of the Somerset County Democratic Committee in 2015. She also worked in New Hampshire as a regional field director for Run Warren Run, a grassroots project that sought to create support for U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren as a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016.
Sims has worked for a number of trade associations, including the College of American Pathologists, the American Physical Therapy Association and the International Wood Products Association. While at DataRobot, she led a lobbying effort on the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act.
“From the trenches of New Jersey politics to Silicon Valley, to the halls of Congress, Jennica has the connections, expertise and savvy to move the dial on our clients’ highest leverage challenges,” said de Koninck.
Publitics recently won a Reed Award for an independent expenditure boosting Gov. Phil Murphy’s re-election victory in 2021.
“Being able to further cement a place for the Publitics team here in Washington, D.C. is an honor,” Sims said. “I look forward to adding another dimension for our clients and helping them push past their potential within and beyond the Beltway.”
