Dorit Kemsley says she and her family have stepped up the security of their home since the terrifying home invasion that nearly cost her her life – but that home may soon be behind.
We got the ‘RHOBH’ star on Friday night with her husband, Paul, and some friends … and she actually opened up a little about the ordeal. See what she has to say – it sounds like her family is taking immediate action to make sure it never happens again.
Look … Dorit says they have since been given a 24-hour security detail in their house, and it appears to be new – because she tells us she was alone when this burglary occurred.

She also tells us that their children – who were also in the house at the time – were her highest priority and the only thing she had in mind. As for whether they want to move or not, she does not reveal her cards here, but later … her husband did.
PK says they are actually considering getting out of Dodge – but will not say how exactly they would like to move next time. Probably more confident that way, honestly. He also says there is no clue on the part of the police as to who could have committed this theft.

There’s this too … we asked Dorit if she felt that posting on the web might have contributed to her being targeted, and she might say. Looks like she’ll take that into account in the future.
On Saturday, she thanked everyone who came out with support … and noted that her children slept through it all. Dorit adds that she has thrown herself back into work and wants to navigate through the trauma privately … this while the LAPD continues to investigate.
