Sky News host Peta Credlin says she thinks there’s a “lot more help” needed to get Melbourne and its businesses “back on its feet” than ranking suggests.
The Economist Intelligence Unit’s Global Liveability Index ranked Melbourne number 10 on the list of the world’s most liveable cities.
“In the surest sign yet that so many of these things are utterly meaningless, news today that Melbourne remains the most liveable city in Australia,” she said.
“Despite being the most locked-down city in the world, Melbourne is said to have won accolades for its culture and entertainment.
“Seriously? I bet none of the judges made it out here to have a look because if they did, they would find a Melbourne CBD that’s a shadow of its former self. ”
