A feature at a downtown watering hole is drawing tourists and locals alike in for a pint.
Shamrock City’s new deck is drawing the attention of those at the Pedestrian Mall in downtown St. John’s, due to a stuffed 1250-pound bull moose, affectionately dubbed “Shammoose”.
The moose was harvested on the province’s west coast as part of a charitable initiative that supports vulnerable populations. Team Broken Earth volunteers hunted the animal and donated the meat to The Gathering Place.
Information panels on the significance of Shammoose and what he represents are posted with him. He is fast becoming one of the most popular backdrops for photos in the downtown.
