Teen Titans Become the Scooby Band in Fun Fan Art

New fan art brings the Teen Titans together with Scooby-Doo’s Mystery Inc. team, while the Titans dress up as their other DC Comics heroes.

That Teen Titans has got a fun new one of art make-over, cross over with Scooby Doo and Mystery Inc. the crew. Just in time for Halloween, the team of super teenagers dresses up and their group costume is perfect. This is especially true since they have actually worked with Mystery Inc. in comics before.

Teen Titans debuted in The Brave and the Bold # 54 in 1964, which brought them close to the same age as Mystery Inc. The two have had several adventures and have even crossed paths in their animated series and in comics. In 2014, Teen Titans and Scooby-Doo solved a mystery together in Scooby Doo! Team-up # 4. Now the two meet again in fun fan art.

On Instagram, artist Maru Davalo shared the fan art of Teen Titans dressed as Scooby-Doo’s gang of mystery solvers. This art throws directly back to the opening of Scooby-Doo, where are you? (1969). Another work of art in the post shares the animated series Teen Titans characters in Scooby’s crew outfits. These teams can take on different villains, but they are both good at their jobs and have been successful partners in the past. This crossover is very appropriate and well-timed for Halloween.

In art, Starfire is Daphne, Raven is Velma, Cyborg is Shaggy, Robin is Fred, and Beast Boy has been transformed into Scooby-Doo. Starfire has kept his bright green eyes, Cyborg is wearing Shaggy’s shirt while still being his mechanical self, and Raven is researching a book using her magical abilities. She also wears sports glasses like Velma, which makes her fit the role perfectly. This version of the character is also very much in line with the comics, as it precedes her gray-toned skin, which the animated version is known to have. The team that the groups had in the 2014 cartoon set them up against Myron the Mildly Irritating – another demon relative of the Ravens. They went together to crush his plans, which heroes are known to do. Given the popularity of both teams, it would be interesting to see them in several crossovers – especially since Batman himself recently teamed up with Mystery Inc. and even gave them a tour of Batcave.

Not all crimes are of the same kind and level of danger, but DC’s wide range of crime detectives have exciting adventures together. Davalo’s art exemplifies the respect that DC’s teams have for each other. It also manages to capture the characters’ playful, fun nature. Match-ups are also very appropriate. Raven is certainly more serious than Starfire – and Starfire already shares a similar fashion sense with Daphne in terms of color composition, as both love purple. Cyborg loves to eat, even though he could not really be called a coward. Beast Boy’s talents make him a natural fit to become a silly Dane that no one else could draw on. Robin is the most tactical of the Titans, as well as the leader, making him the best candidate to set traps like Fred and lead the hunt for villains. It may be silly, but this of art is incredibly fun and appropriate Teen Titans and Scooby-Doo’s mystery-solving crew.
