A Toronto senior has reportedly been killed in the home of his adult son, according to Toronto Police.
Vincenza Galloro, 67, was murdered in North York Saturday night, police reported.
Officers have charged her son, Antonio Galloro, 43, with second-degree murder.
Galloro was taken into police custody after an apparent assault in the Sheppard Ave.-Jane St. area.
Art. Laura Brabant said Galloro met virtual court appearance in the old town hall on Sunday morning.
“This has been a very traumatic death for the family involved,” Brabant added
On the night the crime took place, officers responded to an unknown problem call at 83 Northover St. around.
Police said they received reports that an assault took place on a residence in the area. When they arrived, they found a woman suffering from life-threatening injuries.
She was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Neighbors to the family expressed shock over the tragedy on their street.
