Woman in 20s was allegedly raped in Sheerness Alley

A woman in her twenties was allegedly raped in an alley in Sheerness around 1am this morning (October 31).

The incident happened early in the morning in an alley between Alma Road and Berridge Road in Sheerness.

The woman was allegedly beaten by the suspect before raping her.

The suspect is believed to be white, strong build, bald and wearing a dark gray hoodie and light gray trousers.

Detective Inspector Neil Kimber of Kent Police said: “We are conducting a series of investigations and have already seized a significant amount of CCTV and collected forensic evidence.

“Stricter incidents of this kind are rare, and we are committed to ensuring a thorough investigation, while supporting the victim throughout the process.

“I would like to ask people who were in the area in the early hours of Sunday, October 31, to review any dashcam, doorbell or CCTV footage and contact us if they have taken pictures to help us with our queries. .

“Alternatively, if anyone has seen anything suspicious or has information about the incident, please call the witness’s call line.”
